I love the Chic boxed 1950’s vintage Volupte goldtone minaudière compact evening bag. I’ve not seen such a bag before – it’s fabulous.

There are few flags of the world that so readily lend themselves to art and fashion as the Union Jack. Maybe the US flag… though that seems prone to catching fire in streets more than most, so presumably less suitable for personal attire.
Now I know “it’s only a bag”, and an old (er sorry: “vintage”) one at that, but the pedant in me would point out that England has its own flag, which is only one part of the Union Jack of Great Britain. And, worst of all… it’s been printed upside down! Baden-Powell alerted the approaching relief force of Mafeking that they were under siege by flying the UJ upside down. I suspect few people can tell the difference these days… 😉

Cap sleeved 1980’s royal blue and white striped mesh t-shirt. I’m sure I had one similar to this IN the 80’s!

Almost impossible to choose, but the Mary Harnes dress just narrowly beats out the 80s boots – it’s so delighfully feminine!
