Chanel have recently managed to buy a rare recording of Marilyn talking about her famous Chanel No.5 quote. You know the one:
What do you wear to bed?
Just a few drops of Chanel No.5…
I’ve always worn Chanel No.5, partly because I love it, partly because I knew Marilyn adored it, but mostly because it’s the perfume my mum wears, so I grew up loving it…
It might have taken them 60 years but Chanel have finally been able to use Marilyn in a legitimate Chanel ad – she beats Brad Pitt hands down doesn’t she?!
This is the photo I think Chanel should have used for their latest print campaign…

It’s strange that they feel they have to use another iconic image to sell their product.
It was in it’s day, publicity that they’d never been able to buy.
Seriously great advertizing~~
It is a good advert though!
