1950s model Dorian Leigh on the cover of Harpers Bazaar July 1955. She looks very calm and collected perched on top of that extremely high stool doesn’t she?!Source and copyright: Some rights reserved by myvintagevogue

Love the dress and the stool.. amazing what models go through for a good shot.
absolutely! I wonder whether the photographer was on an equally high stool….
Fantastic. Lovely dress, and how big is that hat.
It is an enormous hat isn’t it?
The camera has been pretty high up also, have a look at the changing angles(shape) of the steps.
Note: The model’s strange right hand/wrist.
Oh my goodness! I can’t believe I didn’t notice the strange right hand! It’s amazing how much more you notice being a photographer! I’m so glad you point these things out to me. I’m hoping it will make me more observant in future!
She’s so chic!
Isn’t she? I don’t think I would be quite that cool and chic perched on a high stool like that!
I’m in Harpers Bazaar! Plus lots of vintage pin-ups, a tween Judy Garland and an extremely high stool… « We Heart Vintage

It’s often the details that make or break an image.
I’m sure there’s lots you notice about the clothing that I just wouldn’t notice
I’m sure you would!
Hello Gerry, I did notice such strange hand but I thought it was just behind the folds of her skirt (pretty voluminous by the way). Am I right or is it something else?
