Win a Melinda Mulcahy personalised silver bracelet

personalised jewellery initial beanie friendship braceletTHIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THE WINNER IS JOANNE HOLTON. CONGRATULATIONS JOANNE, MELINDA WILL BE INTOUCH TO ARRANGE YOUR PRIZE.

This weeks competition prize is a real treat for all you jewellery lovers out there: a beautiful friendship bracelet with a sterling silver personalised initial charm.

About Melinda Mulcahy:

Melinda Mulcahy has been designing and creating her own range of jewellery for over 10 years and that range is expanding day by day. Melinda tells us a little as to how she started out and her inspirations:

“I spent my childhood collecting shoreline treasures on Sydney Australia’s sunny beaches.  Inspirations come from life experiences, my children, travels, colourful cultures, fashion, art and architecture.  My style is quirky, reflecting my playful personality especially in the limited edition jewellery often featuring usual gemstones and shells.  I believe jewellery should have a presence and reflect the wearer’s personality.

I’m more comfortable being outside of my comfort zone so have a chameleon approach to design.  Although I have a particular obsession with the shabby chic movement, my contemporary collections reflect so many styles from boho, girlie, steampunk to fashion jewellery, so there is much to choose from.

All of my jewellery is handmade by myself, crafted from precious materials, quality beads and sterling silver components which are sourced globally and with an ethical conscience.  I work closely with other artisans too, like the teeny tiny beads that make up the Sweet Petite and Zanzibar bracelets and necklaces which are made by a skilled craftsman in the Northern Tribes of Thailand.  Each bead individually cut and hammered by hand, I then thread each bracelet into the finished product, based on a customer’s specification”

I think the shining gold star on a silver bangle would be perfect for my best friend. Every time she wore it she’d be reminded that to me she is truly a star friend! 😀

The ‘personalised plectrum friendship bracelet’ (http://melindamulcahy.com/products/24760–personalised-plectrum-friendship-bracelet.aspx) would be the perfect gift for my friend. It would make a lovely present for music lovers and guitar/bass players so I can’t imagine anyone not loving it. I really like how delicate they are and yet really edgy at the same time. I would have it in latte and personalised with her name and date/year of birth and she would love it (maybe I’d even get one from her for my next birthday too!).

As my husband is my best friend I would get him something quite geeky (he is a big geek) like the Morse Code Love Letter Keyring.

I would choose the Hummingbird gold silver charm friendship bracelet for my best mate – she was fascinated by the tiny hummingbirds she saw on her honeymoon in Ecuador so she would love it.

my best friend is my partner, who has been my rock during my long term ill health so I would choose the personalised love letter charm on a keyring so he can always be reminded just how much he means to me.
