Win a Vintage 1940s Pearl Necklace

Vintage pearl necklace

THIS COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED. THE WINNER IS SHELLEY JESSUP. CONGRATULATIONS SHELLEY, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH ABOUT YOUR PRIZE!

I’ve got the most beautiful prize to giveaway this week – this gorgeous vintage 1940s faux pearl necklace thanks to Miss Kitty at The Best Vintage Clothing. Isn’t it stunning? Miss Kitty stocks one of the best ranges of vintage I’ve seen in her online store, and whether you’re looking for an authentic flapper dress, a cute 1950s prom dress or a Schiaparelli bathing suit, she’s got it all!

About the prize:

Simple 6mm glass or imitation vintage pearls in a deep warm ivory or “candlelight” color. They have a beautiful luster and aged look. They are knotted giving them a luxurious look. The necklace measures as follows: 30″ long, with the faux pearls being 6mm or about 1/4″ in diameter . The filigree clasp is gold washed sterling silver, as marked. Excellent condition.

How to enter:

All you need to do for your chance to win this fabulous prize is pop over to Miss Kitty’s online store: The Best Vintage Clothing. Select your favourite item and post a comment below telling me what it is! It’s also worth signing up to her mailing list (below), as she offers some cracking special offers and discounts to her dedicated followers! You don’t have to sign-up to enter the competition, but I recommend it! You can sign-up below (and rest assured, she doesn’t sell or share any data you give her). My favourite piece is the Vintage 2-piece Dress & Coat Chinese Cheongsong Blue Silk Satin Damask Mums 1950s; I have a very similar dress in gorgeous gold silk (full-length with side splits and striped coloured silk lining – feels very feminine, luxurious and expensive) and love this style of dress as it really flatters the figure and enhances all of a woman’s good features. The link for the item I chose is:

http://www.thebestvintageclothing.com/vintage-2-pc-dress-coat-chinese-cheongsong-blue-silk-satin-damask-mums-1950s/ Going off on a bit of a tangent, looking at the prices of vintage pieces I really must dig through my wardrobe and see what ‘treasures’ I can unearth and sell! lol!

Very disappointed to see you selling fur, however ‘vintage’. Killing animals for fur in the most barbaric way is not acceptable in this day and age
