She was fabulous, just watched her 1st talkie, Zou Zou … Had a fascinating life, adopted 12 kids from different countries that she called her “Rainbow Tribe” and did intelligence work for The Allies during WWII … Coretta Scott King asked her to take over her husband Martin Luther King’s position in The Civil Rights Movement after he was assassinated … It’s sad she had to leave her own country for success and freedom …
She was an incredible woman wasn’t she, and yet most people only know her because of the banana skirt! I haven’t seen that movie, I’ll check it out thanks!
