1920s wedding photo from 1928
After the end of World War 1, the 1920s were a time of optimism and exuberance. Fashions for women were more relaxed than ever before, suiting a slim athletic figure in contrast to the tight corseting of previous decades. 1920s wedding styles are having a resurgence at the moment, partly perhaps because of The Great Gatsby. I love the variety of styles in this gallery of 1920s wedding photos. cap
Key looks for the 1920s wedding include: straight fit dresses with dropped waists, the Juliet cap paired with a long veil, beading and low heel Mary Jane shoes.
Strangely, two of these photos look like they are of the same man (but marrying different women) in the same year. Perhaps they were brothers? What do you think? Bigamy, misfortune or twins?
