This photo was taken at the opening of the Anacostia Neighborhood Museum in September 1967. The Triceratops, named Uncle Beazley was placed in the parking lot, where you can also see him in the snow in 1977 (below).
Uncle Beazley was later moved to the Mall in front of the National Museum of Natural History and then in 1994 to the Rhino Yard near the Elephant House at the National Zoological Park.
I have no idea why he was called Uncle Beazley though..!
