Er, I can’t claim to tell you much about these photos except that they were labelled ‘wet proof paper’ 1953.
I have to assume that the bikini and beachwear are made from ‘wet proof paper’. Why, or what that is, and whether it’s suitable material for swimwear I have no idea. Sorry! If you can shed any light on this please do!
Either way, it’s a very stylish bikini, let’s hope it doesn’t dissolve once you get it wet!

I’ve seen the 60’s version of it. They came in an envelope and were supposed to be good for 2 or 3 wears.
