Never underestimate the marketing power of Lucille Ball! I grew up watching re-runs of I Love Lucy on the telly, and there is a special corner of my heart reserved for it, but even my love of the 1950s sitcom wouldn’t make me buy these hideous spin offs! Even the gorgeous Lucy looks unconvinced about her ‘I Love Lucy Pajamas’ in the picture below. And as for the ‘Live Like Lucy’ bedroom suite and slightly creepy ‘I Love Lucy Baby’…

Still, apparently the 50s sitcom still has an audience of 40 million each year in the US alone so perhaps there is a market out there for all this stuff!
